Malaysian Pop Music Maestro, JinV Wong Vui Wei, Secures Youth Achievement Record as the First to Receive FELLOWSHIP Honour

In a historic accolade to his unparalleled contributions to pop music education in Malaysia, JinV Wong Vui Wei, the founder of Jinv Academy of Performing Arts, has achieved the prestigious Youth Achievement Record for being “The First Malaysia Pop Music Educator to Receive FELLOWSHIP Honour.

JinV Wong’s journey is marked by a dedication to music and an unyielding commitment to pushing the boundaries of pop music education in Malaysia. Graduating in Chinese Literature from the University Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Malaysia, in 2010, he furthered his academic pursuits with a major in Acoustics from the Central Conservatory of Music, China, in 2012. Remarkably, he stands as the only pop music educator in Malaysia holding four academic degrees.

His passion for music and singing burgeoned from childhood, evolving into a deep understanding of the intricacies of the human voice. This passion led him to a career as a primary school teacher at SJK(C) Kuen Cheng, Kuala Lumpur, in 2006. Embracing a profound interest in vocal training, he successfully attained a bachelor’s degree in acoustics from the Beijing Central Conservatory of Music in 2012.

JinV Wong’s pivotal moment came in 2016 when he founded Jinv Academy of Performing Arts. Recognizing the dearth of academic, creative, and prospective singing coaching in Malaysia, he embarked on a mission to infuse love, passion, and dedication for music into the hearts of aspiring musicians. The academy, under his competent leadership, has cultivated over 300 students, setting new standards in singing coaching and producing winners in various local and international competitions.

Among the notable achievements orchestrated by JinV Wong’s mentorship are victories in competitions such as “Sing! China,” “The Voice Asia,” “TVB International Chinese New Talent Singing Championship 2016,” Hu Nan TV “Let’s Sing, Kids!,” “The Voice Kids of China,” “Sing! Kids,” CCTV15 “Children Voice Singing 2020 New Year Special Program,” and many more.

Beyond accolades in competitions, Jinv Academy students have excelled in local singing competitions such as Astro Hua Hee Dai “NH Nutri Grains Hua Hee” singing competition, “Champion Malaysia Halo” song-writing competition, 8TV “I Wanna Sing,” and others.

JinV Wong’s commitment to quality in singing training is reflected in his philosophy of “quality, not quantity.” He emphasizes one-on-one coaching tailored to students’ abilities and personal traits, unlocking their inner potential, developing vocal skills, charisma, and shaping their individual singing talents.

Jinv Academy of Performing Arts – Forging a New Standard in Music Education

As the founder of Jinv Academy of Performing Arts, JinV Wong has not only broken through traditional vocal coaching methods but has elevated the academy to receive the Asia Honesty Award as the Asia Honesty Enterprise, a testament to its integrity and competence. The academy has also been recognized by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Malaysia (MITI), as a certified national “Shared Prosperity Organization.”

JinV Wong’s innovative approach extends beyond conventional music education, incorporating “Humanities Education” into Music Education. He is a permanent member of the Malaysian Performing Arts Association and was awarded the “Malaysia’s Adjudicator Award” in 2017. In the same year, he received the honorary certificate of “Outstanding Mentor” from the Chinese Youth Talent Association.
