Anime characters have truly come to life at the World Cosplay Summit 2024 (WCS), a three-day event held successfully today morning in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Teams from 36 countries and regions competed on Saturday, showcasing their elaborate outfits, colorful hairstyles, and the all-important attitude of their chosen anime, manga, and video game stars.
The Japanese team emerged victorious, delivering a stunning “NARUTO” performance with visually striking action and high-quality costumes that received thunderous applause. The Swedish team secured the 1st runner-up position, while German cosplayers took home the 2nd runner-up title.
The dedication and creativity displayed at the World Cosplay Summit were truly remarkable, bringing animation and game characters to life in the most entertaining ways.
Two Malaysian representatives, Rikka and Kyandy from Cosplayer Team Chendol, also made a striking appearance at this prestigious event, competing with numerous other cosplayers. Their participation added to the enthusiasm of anime fans, making the event even more memorable for everyone present.
Authorized as the official Malaysia partner, “Isekai Walker” teamed up with the professional travel agency “Joy Paradise Solution” to lead a group on a cosplay pilgrimage trip in Aichi Prefecture. The most anticipated events included the World Cosplay Championship, Cosplay Parade, and more. Participants from Germany, Czech Republic, Mexico, Sweden, India, China, and other countries and regions dressed as their favorite characters, adding to the vibrant spectacle.
On the final day of the “World Cosplay Summit 2024,” the OSU Cosplay Parade was filled with cosplay enthusiasts from around the world, capturing and enjoying the vibrant spectacle.
