Youth Achievement Records is proud to officially recognize Kong Chung Hern, age 14, as the first teen to complete a dual mask-and-costume transformation combined with continuous mask changes — a record-setting performance accomplished in front of a live audience at Catholic High School, PJ.
In just 25 seconds, Kong successfully executed 5 simultaneous mask-and-costume transformations and 7 continuous mask changes, using a unique and innovative technique developed by his coach. This extraordinary feat has earned him a place in history as Malaysia’s first youth to complete this high-speed, high-precision artistic challenge.

The record-breaking attempt took place during the school’s annual Youth Achievement Record Challenge and was witnessed by teachers, students, and special guests. The crowd watched in awe as each transition was performed flawlessly with no interruption, reflecting extraordinary control, rhythm, and mastery of traditional performance art.
A School that Celebrates Holistic Excellence
Principal Dr Margaret Lim Pei Tee of Catholic High School praised Chung Hern’s achievement, highlighting the school’s focus on both academic and extracurricular excellence. She emphasized the importance of balanced development, encouraging students to pursue character, creativity, and leadership, not just academic scores.
“This moment is more than just a performance; it’s a testimony of how education can help students unlock their fullest potential,” Madam Lim said.
Kong Chung Hern’s achievement not only revives interest in traditional performing arts but also proves that with proper guidance, young talents can reach remarkable heights — even at just 14 years old.
