Malaysian young rider, Hakim Danish clinched the Asia Talent Cup 2022 championship after successfully finishing the last lap at the Mandalika Circuit in second position in Race 2.

Before the commencement of the race, Hakim had a points difference of only six points with his closest competitor, Shinya Ezawa from Japan.

To ensure that the championship is in Hakim’s grasp, he only had to finish in a better position than Ezawa.

Hakim managed to provide a stellar performance at the Mandalika Circuit, sending the crowd into shockwaves. Hakim finished in second place and collected 187 points. He was 10 points ahead of Ezawa who collected 177 points after finishing third.

The 15-year-old rider’s prospects of emerging as champion were rather good this year. The Terengganu-born became the ATC 2022 champion after seven times on the podium. Hakim claimed four victories over six rounds of racing this season. This is also his first time winning the ATC title since the competition in 2014.
