Arts and Entertainment category is a vital component of the Youth Achievement Records Advisory Board & Council’s official record categories. This category covers a broad range of creative activities, including painting, music, literature, and dance, as well as entertainment, which involves providing or receiving amusement or enjoyment. Under this category, there are two suggested record categories: Young Performer of the Year, which recognizes outstanding young performers in music and dance, and Young Artist of the Year, which acknowledges young people who excel in non-performance related arts. It is important to note that these sub-categories are not set in stone and can be altered, merged, expanded, or even eliminated as needed to ensure that they remain relevant and up-to-date. By recognizing and celebrating young people’s talents in arts and entertainment, the Youth Achievement Records Advisory Board & Council can help to inspire future generations of artists and performers.
